Setting up a business intermediary authorisation is done in 3 steps and must be done by the Primary Authority of the SMSF (such as the Trustee).

To set up a business intermediary authorisation, to allow the rollover of money between super funds, please have your photo ID ready and follow the steps below.

Step 1. Create a MyGovID account

1. Setup a MyGovID account by going to MyGovID and downloading the app to your smart device.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions and verify your photographic identification.

3. Confirm that your identity strength is recognised as a Strong Identity (a Strong Identity will be required in Step 3).

Note: You will need to verify your identity when setting up MyGovID. More information about types of identification can be found on the ATO website.

Step 2. Link your MyGovID to your SMSF using Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM)

1. Follow the link to Relationship Authorisation Manager.

2. Click login to MyGovID.

3. Open MyGovID on your smart device and confirm the 4-digit security number you see on screen (below is an example screenshot only).

3. Come back

Step 3. Set up Business Appointment using Access Manager

1. Visit Access Manager.

2. Click login to MyGovID.

3. Open MyGovID on your smart device and confirm the 4-digit security number you see on screen (below is an example screenshot only).

2. Accept or enter the code 4082
3. Come back

4. Return to Access Manager.

5. Click on ‘Who has access to my business’.

6. Click on ‘Appoint new business’.

7. Enter the ABN for Evision Pty Ltd - 73 076 521 161.

8. Click ‘Continue’.

9. Scroll down the list of services until you find ‘ATO Services’.

10. Select the ‘SMSF – Search and verify members’ tick box.

11. Select the ‘SMSF – Verification services for rollover/contributions’ tick box.

12. Click ‘Save’.
