What is the PreSort Accuracy Test?
The PreSort Accuracy Test tests the ability of software to correctly sort an address file and produce a manifest, using the current version of the Australia Post Barcode Sort Plan and to meet the requirements as outlined in the PreSort Letters Service Guide.
The PreSort Accuracy Test requires an organisation to process an address file (provided by Australia Post) through their sorting software and provide the output (usually a manifest) to Australia Post for checking.
There is a 'self test file' and 'answers file' available for organisations wanting to check their sorting software before performing the actual test.
A certificate will be issued for software that has passed the PreSort Accuracy Test. Organisations will also have the option to list their company details and product details on the Australia Post web site.
